Mission Statement

Through my practice, I create a space of safety, integrity and freedom
that allows others to experience increased self-understanding, creative
capacity and joy for living.  It is done in an atmosphere of deep respect
for individual process and unique life experience.

I love working deeply with people to make lasting change in their lives.  
The work we do gets at the sources of anxiety, depression and
unwanted behaviors freeing them from old patterns.  My clients
achieve new levels of awareness, self-understanding and responsibility
for living a life they love.

Biography

Louise Northcutt has Masters degrees in both counseling and education.  She
is an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist, Release Therapist and a member of
Heart-Centered Therapies Association and the American Association of
Professional Hypnotherapists.   

Louise has worked as a counselor in two elementary schools and taught third
and fourth grades, where she prepared an integrated curriculum based on
African American History.  She worked as a health promotion consultant for a
division of a Fortune 500 company where she wrote a wellness newsletter and
ran health awareness campaigns for employees.  In the early days of the
Internet, Louise worked with a startup firm to supply computer connectivity
equipment to the Department of Defense.

Louise was born is Texas, raised in Georgia, and moved to Southern California
at age 12 where she attended high school.  During those years, she enjoyed
the beauty of San Gabriel mountains and west coast beaches on the
weekends.  Her first two years of college were spent in Phoenix, Arizona, later
completing her business degree at Manhattan’s New York University.  New
York colleges are where she earned her Masters degrees with honors and
received an invitation to join the International Honor Society in Education,
Kappa Delta Pi.  She has also been a student of Karate, rode her own
motorcycle and piloted herself in a single engine airplane.

She continues her advanced clinical hypnotherapy training with the Wellness
Institute in Issaquah, WA and assists in teaching hypnotherapy to therapists.

Personal and professional interests include transpersonal psychology, the
transitions of birth and death, integral philosophy, knitting, photography,
singing and dancing for fun, health education, and kundalini yoga.  Louise is a
core team member for the Self Discovery Center in Atlanta (

selfdiscoverycenter.com) and co-facilitates the Atlanta Integral Salon, a group
that meets twice a month to discuss the ideas of Integral Philosophy.  

She has a daughter who is preparing to attend graduate school.  Louise lives
and practices in Atlanta, Georgia.

  • Individual sessions $100 per hour
  • 60 and 90-minute sessions available

The practice operates independent of insurance companies.

A 48-hour advance notice is requested if an appointment needs to be
canceled or rescheduled  to avoid paying a fee for a missed session.

Personal Transformation Intensive (PTI)

When:  Save these dates for 2009 Personal Transformation Intensive (PTI) Group
Experiential Weekend Series: TBA


Time:  Each weekend begins Friday for supper at 6:00 p.m., and ends Sunday
afternoon at 4:00 p.m.

Tuition Cost: $2000, or $1850 if paid in full by April 30, 2009;  (payment
arrangements available, if needed, for an additional fee).  Room and board
is $235 per weekend.

Location:  Center for New Beginnings in Dahlonega, GA (about 90 minutes north
of Atlanta), in the beautiful North Georgia mountains, provides a comfortable
retreat setting with delicious, nutritious meals.  See their website at

Lead by extensively trained facilitators from the Wellness Institute, Louise
Northcutt and Linda McCall, the weekends are filled with love and laughter and
deep healing.  Participants will experience energetic psychodrama, guided
meditation and breath-work. This series includes teaching themes and other
experiential processes each weekend, when experienced in a group over five
months, is truly transformational.  A commitment to all five weekends is required.
